Useless junk; waste of hard-earned money

I was happy with Microsoft Remote Desktop Connection client for Mac until I needed to RDP to a Windows Server 2012 R2 box. The Microsoft RDP client refused to connect saying: "Remote Desktop Connection cannot verify the identity of the computer that you want to connect to”. So, I ended up buying this crap based on reviews and price. Within minutes I knew I made a terrible mistake. This product does not even give you an error. You provide the hostname/ip, user. password and domain and click connect, nothing happens, nothing at all. No error, no nothing. I tried to connect to both Windows server 2012 R2 and Windows 8.1 hosts.
If I purchased this product at BestBuy or any brick and mortar store, I would have returned it immediately.
This has been one of the most frustrating online buying experiences, especially because there’s no way to test the product before actual purchase.

If anyone can show me how to make it work with Windows Server 2012 R2 and Windows 8.1 without compromising security, I will update this comment and give the product a better rating. Until then this is most likely a fake application.
